Stanford.NLP.NET

Stanford NLP for .NET

What it does

Provides a .NET wrapper around Stanford CoreNLP so you can run powerful linguistic analyses (tokenization, POS‑tagging, parsing, NER, sentiment, etc.) directly from C# or F# code.

When to use it
  • •You need high‑quality linguistic features for a text‑heavy product (chatbot, document classifier, resume parser).
  • •You already have a .NET codebase and want to avoid calling an external REST service for NLP.
  • •You must run NLP on‑premise (no cloud API keys) and can host Java runtimes on your servers.
Ready-to-paste prompt
dotnet run --project MyNlpApp.csproj // after setting up the CoreNLP folder and adding the Stanford.NLP.NET package, this executes the C# sample that tokenizes, POS‑tags, and returns sentiment for the input text.
Heads up: You must have a compatible Java runtime (Java 8‑11) installed and the CoreNLP JARs on the file system; the .NET wrapper does not bundle the models, so forgetting to download and point to the `stanford-corenlp` folder will cause a `ClassNotFoundException` at runtime.
