What it does

Provides a single TypeScript API to send LLM requests to many providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and collect usage analytics.

•You need to switch between OpenAI, Claude, or other models without rewriting request code.
•You want a central place to log token usage and costs for budgeting.
•Your app calls multiple LLM providers in one workflow (e.g., fallback from Claude to OpenAI).

Heads up: The library reads API keys from environment variables at runtime; if a key is missing or malformed, the first request will throw an "Missing API key for provider X" error. Make sure `.env` is loaded (e.g., via `dotenv/config` or `npm run start` with `--require dotenv/config`).
