BotWave - Your Raspberry Pi FM Network

What it does

BotWave lets you turn a fleet of Raspberry Pis into a low‑cost FM broadcast network that streams audio files over the air.

When to use it
  • •You need a cheap, local‑only radio station for a pop‑up event or hackathon.
  • •You want to push audio updates (e.g., announcements, music playlists) to many Pis without using the internet.
  • •You’re building a prototype IoT product that should broadcast status beeps via FM.
Ready-to-paste prompt
python -m botwave broadcast --file ./tracks/launch_theme.mp3 --freq 101.3 --repeat
Heads up: BotWave only works with FM transmitter hardware that supports the Linux `pifm` driver; the Raspberry Pi must run Raspbian Bullseye (or later) and the kernel module `snd_bcm2835` must be loaded before starting the service.
