Pull up-to-date library docs into Claude so it codes against the real API.

Your config

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "context7": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "@upstash/context7-mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

No key needed. Ask Claude to "use context7" when you want current docs. (In your catalog too.)

How to add it

01

Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config.

02

Paste the block below into claude_desktop_config.json (merge it into "mcpServers" if you already have some).

03

Fill in any placeholder values (paths, API keys).

04

Fully quit and reopen Claude Desktop. The server’s tools appear in the 🔌 menu.

The linked repo is the source of truth — if the package name ever changes, it’ll be current there.
